Messenger Now Available in Google Play Store


After circulating the leaked screenshot of Google Messenger instant messaging application, Google officially launched the application in the application store, Play Store on Wednesday (11/12/2014).

Messenger app released by Google is seen to have a minimalist look and follow the rules of Materials Design like other applications on the Android platform Lollipop.

Google Messenger application is available by default in the Nexus Nexus 9 and 6, replacing Hangouts are in a row of Google apps on the homescreen.

Not a lot of functions that are included by Google in the instant messaging service, only the basic functions Messenger course, like send messages, share photos, audio, search for contacts, as well as support emoji.

Additionally, Google Messenger also has the ability to block SMS messages. Messenger app is also the default application to handle SMS in Android 5.0 Lollipop.

With the launch of Google Messenger, Hangouts app fate is unclear what the future will be like, although the application is still in the Google Android device to another.

Google Messenger application is available in the Play Store. However, Google Messenger can only work with Android version 4.1 or later version.
